Reuben & Kyria started off 2020 with a blast! From the first moments I met them, I knew they liked to have fun, loved being together, and God, family and friends were the most important to them. From the buzz of fellowship to the fireworks that went off as they left, their wedding was a magical day. I’d been looking forward to their wedding since their amazing engagement session on top of Beacon Rock, from last August. I was so honored to shoot their wedding just 5 short months later.

I love entering the dedicated room for the bride’s getting ready. So many sweet little details that tell you about the bride and the couple’s story.

During every wedding, I always want to make sure there is time to document the groom. He has just as many unique details. I loved the shots captured by my second shooter, Johan.

Reuben and Kyria love being together, but also know how to include those who are with them. At the wedding, you could see all the time and effort they poured into others come back and bless them in thousands of ways. They love to laugh and have fun. They are adventurous and love trying new things. They are never hesitant to do the hard things in life. They keep Christ at the center of their relationship as their Head. Reuben and Kyria have been immensely blessed by finding each other and having the opportunity to serve the Lord together.

It’s funny how holding hands makes you feel as if you can fly.

Great marriages don’t happen by luck or by accident. They are the result of a consistent investment of time, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, affection, prayer, mutual respect and a rock - solid commitment between a husband and wife.

I’ve learned it’s not what I have in life, but who I have in my life that counts.

Beautiful table decor, a unique and beautiful cake, and awesome speeches tied the reception together wonderfully. You could see the overflowing love from their friends as they shared how much the couple meant to them, the funny stories they hold dear in their memories, and the advice to the bride and groom for their future. Reuben and Kyria are greatly blessed.

I love the detail in their rings. Reuben put so much work into picking out the right band for his bride. It’s the ring she will look at for her entire life. The ring that reminds them of their vows, their commitment to one another.

I choose you to do life with hand in hand, side by side. I choose you to love with my whole being unconditionally. I choose you at the beginning and end of every day. And I’d choose you in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you.
