Origin of the Name!

You might ask why the name, Treasured Moments Studio? During my composition writing for piano,  I wrote a piece and placed lyrics to it. The words expressed what I wanted to do with my photography and musical abilities. We appreciate all treasured moments, because they are from God.  A line from the song, Treasured Moments. "Treasured moments I find in You, They're sweeter still as you walk me though."

Hey There!

My name is Maria! I grew up in Washington State and I moved to Brainerd, Minnesota in 2024 with my husband. We have a sweet little boy who has the best laugh and makes us smile everyday. I’ve always loved photography and during my high school years began taking a few classes. I fell in love with the art of capturing memories for people, learning their stories and who they are. Photography is not my only passion, I’ve also been a piano teacher for 12+ years. So if I’m not photographing weddings, I’m sometimes playing for them! I’m passionate about JESUS, piano and piano students, photography and teaching photography, Lattes, and board games.

I started Treasured Moments Studio in February of 2016. I love looking at photographs in peoples home, getting wedding invitations, Christmas cards, or looking at photo books. From pictures on the fridge, to photo albums, to framed photographs on the wall. I am enamored by the stories photographs tell. I began photographing weddings 2 years into my business and I fell in love with it! Weddings don’t stress me out. I would probably coordinate them if I didn’t photograph them! I’ve been photographing events and conferences for about 10+ years and teaching photography, conference photography, and running photography teams for conferences for around 3+ years. Passing on what I’ve learned to others is one of my favorite things. I have extensive experience photographing couples, families, seniors, business portraits and much more!
